For a long time, terraces were considered a nice extra\u2014something that attracted guests during certain times of the year, especially in summer, and allowed all kinds of events to take place.<\/p>\n\n

However, the new normal has turned that extra into a valuable asset that, in many cases, determines whether or not a restaurant can open. Far from seeing it as a drawback, at some restaurants with a terrace in Mallorca<\/strong> like Lume & Co, we\u2019ve seen this necessity as an opportunity to enhance our facilities even further. <\/p>\n\n

Open-air spaces like ours allow us to create a very cozy atmosphere, where our guests feel right at home. Those of you who have visited our terrace<\/a> know that it\u2019s a mix of Scandinavian and minimalist style, with a fresh, Mediterranean touch that invites relaxation. <\/p>\n\n

And also because, in large terraces like ours, it\u2019s possible to maintain the recommended distance of 1.5 to 2 meters between tables.<\/p>\n\n

It\u2019s something we\u2019ve grown used to\u2014and if it\u2019s not there, we actually find it uncomfortable.Who would have thought!<\/p>\n\n

Time will tell how our culture evolves\u2014whether we go back to the old habits of attending crowded events, shoulder to shoulder with others, or whether we\u2019ll stick to this distance we\u2019ve psychologically internalized.<\/p>\n\n
